Coronavirus Update 5-12-20

Dear Parishioners,

Total cases in Maryland are down. Governor Hogan may make an announcement this week about moving into phase one of reopening. It looks as if we will still be doing outdoor Adoration this Sunday instead of Mass. We may add some type of May procession and crowning of Mary. Stay tuned.

Still we are still under a stay at home order, prayer at home is the chief way Jesus is with us at this time. Here are some resources from the Archdiocese for praying at home:

We are all saddened by the number of people who are having a tough time due to the impact of the coronavirus and people who are grieving due to death of family and friends. Providing ways to pray to find comfort, hope and healing are particularly needed right now. The Office of Catechesis recently shared with catechetical leaders a resource called Praying Together, Praying Apart: At-Home Prayers for Times of Healing, Illness and Death. You can find this resource linked here in English and linked here in Spanish.

Here is an article about praying the Rosary at home, something we could do now and into the future: https://www.thecatholicthing.org/2020/05/12/the-beauty-and-simplicity-of-the-family-rosary/

God bless, Fr. LaHood
